On reddit they are urging independents to show up at polling places, sign sworn affidavits stating they are democrats and vote a provisional ballot.

Breaking the law bigtime and trying to suppress and stop the democratic vote!

Plus lots of them are promising to vote for Trump if Hillary is the nominee.

NYS keeps voting registration forms on file pretty much forever. So they'll check the affidavit ballots against the voter's original submissions for the people claiming to already be registered Democrats. If it doesn't agree, the vote doesn't count.

I have friends that are independents in NY. Every presidential cycle they decide if they want to participate in the primaries and change their registration if needed. They know the rules and abide by them. I don't feel bad for people who weren't engaged enough to participate in individual party primaries.
