6. He's lying. Of course young people can get involved.
They just had to register before the deadline. Especially the group he singles out "young people who have not previously registered and want to register just can’t do it" had a long time in which to do it, as their deadline wasn't until March 25., I believe.
New York is strict on those who are already registered - that is, those who are already politically engaged and therefore should know how the system works. Their change of registration is in October. Those who aren't registered have 5 more months in which to register and still be on time for the primary. |
