I planned seminars and conferences. We booked whoever was famous and remotely in line with our topic. No one expected the speaker to help us in our endeavors. She had a stump speech, and made a good buck. Just like most other politicians. Such a straw man for Bernie supporters.

There is a regular speakers circuit that books people into these conferences. Caitlyn Jenner supported her family for decades doing motivational speeches. Even Jimmy Carter has been registered with one of these booking agencies.
