Bernie Sanders Says Democratic Primary Schedule ‘Distorts Reality" HRC ROOM

Sam Frizell

"I think that having so many Southern states go first kind of distorts reality"

Bernie Sanders told “Nightly Show” host Larry Wilmore at a taping Wednesday evening that scheduling Southern states early in the Democratic primary “distorts reality.”

Sanders’ remarks came after Wilmore asked him whether he believed the Democratic primary system is “rigged.”

“Well, you know,” Sanders said, “people say, ‘Why does Iowa go first, why does New Hampshire go first,’ but I think that having so many Southern states go first kind of distorts reality as well.”

I guess he dislikes the south.

What an ugly thing for BS to say about Americans who just happen to live in a state that doesn't consist of about 6 white people.

because for so many primary cycles, the national primary was effectively over before it got to many southern states, and we never saw candidates.

One big block of votes on Super Tuesday was sure to get us some attention finally!

If Sanders was a Democrat, he might have been aware of this and planned accordingly.

I'm so over this loser dissing the South because he just showed up and couldn't get black votes. I really hope Hillary hits him on his South comments.

Can he be more out of touch? He comes off like a caricature of a Rush Limbaugh straw man.

Seriously, this seems like he's just giving black voters a middle finger. I mean, if the 8 states Sanders won had gone first, would he be singing the same song? Wouldn't 8 caucuses in a row have also "distorted reality?"

Sanders can't stop talking soon enough for my tastes. Everything he says now is tainted by his not-so-subtle prejudice.

His demographics havent changed much the entire campaign so far. The order they vote in would mean absolutely NOTHING to the final numbers.
