Question about DOJ strategy regarding Jan 6th insurrection

To the attorneys among us: Do you think the DOJ is waiting until the Special Committee completes it's investigation to make a public move on any of the major players behind the insurrection?

1. Why would DOJ do that? Why wait till toothless subpoenas were ignored till real subpoena get

issued?

Either DOJ is asleep at the switch or not interested in holding those responsible responsible.

4. Why isn't the DOJ investigating the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol itself?

Was that not a crime?

6. There are hundreds of prosecutions already happening.

See: https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/capitol-breach-cases

The DOJ doesn't usually announce ongoing investigations.

8. All pawns, are they investigating the ring leaders? Haven't seen one subpoena for anyone but low

level soldiers.

It's as if the Nuremburg Trials only went after Sergeants and under.

5. Excellent article. Thank you.

It appears to me, given this analysis, the situation leans toward DOJ action against Bannon. I certainly hope so.

7. The most likely scenario is the DOJ is waiting for the courts to reject the executive privilege

claims.
