Man in trouble for incident at local Wendy's
A Dubuque man is in a bit of trouble with the law after locking himself in the bathroom at a local Wendy's and taking the opportunity to do some pot and heroin.
Jack C. Hendron, 18, of 2173 Graham Circle, was arrested Tuesday evening at Wendy’s, 810 Wacker Drive, on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court records, police officers responded to Wendy’s at around 8:30 p.m., after the store manager called about a subject who locked himself in the men’s bathroom at about 7 p.m. The employee and police said there was a strong smell of marijuana coming from the restroom.
Police unlocked the door and found Hendron with marijuana on his person, $516 in cash, prescription drugs and multiple syringes in the trash. Police described Hendron as having “extremely slurred speech” and said he admitted to using a syringe to shoot up heroin.
Hendron allegedly told the officers he had passed out in the bathroom earlier and when he woke up he “had no idea where he was.”
