Beautiful by: Carole King ~ for The BOG

You are beautiful.

You are so amazing, you fight the fight every damn day. You have great hearts and it shows in your souls with every post you make you do it with passion and yes sadness at times, so much sadness. Yet you get up every damn morning and try to make it a better place. You have such compassion and sharing. That makes my heart glad. Together we can do it, alone we are damn well going to fail.

It is almost Christmas, not one I am looking forward to. Yet to you all I wish the best of the best. My heart is with you, because you are beautiful. Happy Holidays to one and all.

Darkness, Darkness ~ The Youngbloods

Darkness, darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your deep

Darkness, darkness, hide my yearning
For the things I cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Toward the things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see

Darkness, darkness, long and lonesome
Ease the day that brings me pain
I have felt the edge of sadness
I have known the depth of fear

Darkness, darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now, now, now
Emptiness of right now

Darkness, darkness, be my pillow
Take my hand and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence, the silence of your deep

Darkness, darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now, now, now
Emptiness of right

Darkness, darkness!
Emptiness, emptiness!
Oh yeah

thank you back. this thread is a light. it's the little things we can be happy about ~ day by day, one day at a time.

wishing peace and goodness for everyone this season ~ and, do not forget to celebrate the longer days of sunlight ahead with the solstice on the 21st.

I've listened on NPR. At the end of Mass, everyone literally howls like wolves to celebrate the wildness. I could really groove on that.

when my daughter was little and my husband was living - and we had our 3 dogs, we would go up on a ridge and howl together. it is was fun, thrilling, and pecial because something in us would kick in and we would get into it ~ our dogs, too.

i hope sometime you do get to attend, irishayes. merry christmas to you. i very much enjoy reading your lively posts.
