He ain't no god, but he's probably one of the best people we could have put in our White House. And what he has done for the minorities in this country can never be fully measured. I'm proud to support him, and I'm proud to have his bumper sticker on my car and wear his t-shirt ANYTIME.

I've had people ask me "How do you feel about our President now", when they see me wear my Obama t-shirt; and I always tell them the same thing: I'm damn proud of him, and we're a lot better off than we would be without him. That's not saying the half of it; but that's all they want to hear anyway.

The Problem We All Live With is a 1964 painting by Norman Rockwell. At Bridges' suggestion, President Barack Obama had the painting installed in the White House, in a hallway outside the Oval Office, from July to October 2011. Art historian William Kloss stated, "It’s a painting that could not be hung even for a brief time in the public spaces [of the White House]. I’m pretty sure of that."[1]

I am watching episodes of "Haven" on netflix, from Sci Fi channel, that was based on "The Colorado Kid" by Stephen King. Haven is a fishing village in Maine and we get to see that unique architecture, accents, hear about Lobster, and experience paranormal stuff.

7. Yeah but what has he done for me lately?

Well for brevity I will leave you with my top ten list of things that he has done for me, personally:

1) Created the foundation for an economic comeback that has allowed me to rebuild my business after Bush's economy crashed it twice.
2) Brought one of my cousins back from active duty after spending 3 of the last 4 years in deployment.
3) In less than a month I will be able to apply for Medical Insurance. As a soon to be 60 year old with diabetes this could add 10 years to my life.
4) Extended Temporary Protection Order for my Son in Law (of two weeks!) who arrived as a teenager from El Salvador after his family had been destroyed by the civil war.
5) Working with Secretary of State helped to bring a peaceful transition to Burma which is very close to my heart because my wife's paternal grandfather was Burmese and my retirement shack lies about 6 blocks from the Burmese Border.
6) My Muslim in laws deeply appreciate that he has re established a government that respects law abiding secular Muslims.
7) Made it possible for us to not be embarrassed when we are overseas and have to go on our "well I don't understand those 'Mericans either, I am from Canada eh" schtick.
8) Helped to increase revenues to the federal government meaning that my children will not have to be paying a higher price for Bush's wars.
9) Helped to make college funds more affordable and accessible for my daughter to go to college.
10) Appointed Supreme Court Judges that will have an impact for decades to come.

Yes there is more like being the first President to personally visit Planned Parenthood (which my two daughters both use) but I don't want to bore you so I will stop at 10.

The one thing that just delights me more than any other is that every day he is President he drives the Republicans 10 degrees more crazy and that when it comes to the election in 2016 Presidential elections the Republicans are not only going to be down by an insurmountable 7-9% but they are going to come to the realization that the Democratic Party is not going to have an African American on the ticket and they are going to lose another 3-4% and a whole lot of enthusiasm.

But what has he done for me in the last 48 hours?

Not one god damned thing.

not boring! It was interesting reading how Obama's Presidency affects you personally. It's personal with me too..and just being grateful for the whole Planet that we haven't been continuing in that downward spiral from 8 years of bushco. That stopped on Day One.

In regard to republicons.. I wonder if you've seen the new words and phrases in our lexicon thanks to Bill Maher tonight.

13. Part of what you said made me cry.

Don't get me wrong, they were tears of joy.

They were for your daughter, your cousins, your sweet new son in law and also for you. This President has given us a door to opportunity. He has given us far more than any President that I know. I am older than you, I have no children of my own. However I have nieces, nephews and now their children to love.

I will never stop fighting for them, not for mine or yours. It is their future, that is why we fight.

President Obama has a legacy that many ridicule and say he has destroyed, yet he has no ego. He builds this legacy for us. The American people.

The Republicans are in their death throes. They are dying and not intelligent enough to know that.
