Got some good news and bad news

First the good news. We got my 2008 MacBook so that it will charge the battery again and the battery will hold a charge. The SMC had to be reset.

Bad news: my 2011 unibody MacBook Pro is having graphics problems like those that have plagued so many of that generation of MBP.

Going to have it checked tomorrow and see what's going on. I also dispatched a letter to one Tim Cook at Apple about this problem.
