Some more iPad apps that work quite well

Errands
GoCal
Early edition2

I did not believe it at first, but I have rapidly come to rely on Errands as my favorite ToDo program on the iPad. Intuitive, easy to use, and just powerful enough to help, I do recommend it.

GoCal is a fine addition to the iPad, in that it improves upon the iCal in several ways. It is worth the law price.

I LOVED early edition, as a morning ritual for worldwide news. It took sometime, but I really like ver. 2 especially with its Mac oriented articles. Between this and the NYT app and the Guardian, I feel pretty well informed. Especially about real football, like premier football, the Spanish and German leagues, or Mexican clubs.

On app, I keep poking at, keep looking at, and intend to use is devonthink. It is so powerful that it frankly intimidates me from learning it all. Maybe some year.

You set up your database on the Mac and then put it on the iPad and enter data in FilemakerGo. VERY well implemented and very functional. We tried to do what we needed with Bento, but it was clunky and not really very functional. FMGo is a good, solid, professional package that works flawlessly.

We had to collect images. We put in a "container" field and were able to take pictures directly from within the app and store them in the database. No clunky importing via iTunes. (A better camera would have been appreciated, but the small image size we needed made the iPad camera minimally acceptable.)
