Anyone know why Revo Uninstaller is not available for Windows XP?

I had it on my old computer but cannot seem to download it to the current one. (Not new, refurbished) I want to uninstall and re-install my PSC (HP f4180) because it will no longer scan.

I have an HP Pavilion a1530n
Windows XP SP3
Firefox

I have tried several sites and am told it is not available.

Am I going to the wrong place?

On Edit: are we who have Windows XP now in never-land regarding updates and support?
If so, this really ticks me off. I can't afford a new computer and would like to keep current.

Clicked on 'save'..not much happened but I got the 'thank you for installing'. I've been all over this computer and cannot find it. It is not listed in add/remove programs or on my list of programs. No desktop icon either.
Any ideas?

Oops, edited for early morning typo.

Look in your Downloads folder. If the is a file named mbam-install etc there then you have the install file.
You have to double click on the file to install it. It doesn't install when you Save it-it just downloads the install file.

Just 'save' or cancel.
Did not know what to do so I hit save. I have done this same thing several times. Probably have Revo in several spots but can not find it.

Any ideas where I should look, just in case it is here and I cannot find it?

Under "General" tab option is given to save downloads to a default location or "always ask" (mine is set to ask) See where yours are saved -- likely where hobbit709 said in post #7

Just about all their downloads have crapware added. I go directly to whoever puts out the software and download from them.

Start Menu > Search > Revo

As Earth Bound Misfit instructed, you have to configure Firefox to ask you the folder where you want files saved to, otherwise it automatically saves them to, I think(?) your My Documents folder.

Merely saving the file will not install it on your computer, you have to go through the installation process before it will show up on your Programs menu.

Also, in the future, here's a handy site for old versions of often used Windows Software:

http://oldversion.com

Keep in mind, the files you download from oldversion are zip files and you'll need an unzipping program like WinZip:

http://www.winzip.com/dprob.html (you want the plain old winzip180.exe file)

The home page is now very intimidating and not at all like the old version. I have to read a tutorial before taking the plunge.
I must first uninstall my PSC and have not had time to do that. A few health issues have kept me down the past couple of weeks.

I thank you and the others in this group for their kind help. If I screw up when I do get the time and courage, I'll let you know.

That's standard practice for that software - to include a tutorial. If you've used Revo in the past, it's pretty much the exact same program as before.

Hope you feel better soon.
