I have a mac pro laptop.
It's great...... except for the word processing program. Word Pad or something.
I'd like to upgrade , probably to Microsoft Word, since that's what I'm used to at work.
So.... how is that done, exactly?
As you've no doubt discerned by now, I'm a technological moron. But I asked three different computer-savvy types and gotten vague and contradictory advice.
Do I download something online?
Do I go somewhere and buy a disk?
Is it free?
If not, how much should I pay?
I'm thinking it can't be this complicated. Or can it?

If Leopard or Snow Leopard, it is easy, but has a few more steps.
*NO* Mac install is hard.
