You should double check that FireFox is not blocking images from that domain. Make7 Jan 2013 #8

You say it only happens on DU? Maybe that's not random. How about file types or link sources?

3rd party tracking buttons from FB, Twitter, Stumbleupon, LinkedIn, etc. After I unchecked the FB box, the photos began to show up. If you have such add-ons, you'll have to disable them one at a time to pinpoint the problem.

The downside to my story is that unchecking the box does allow the tracking to resume

Good luck!

I use Chrome and it was an extension called Facebook Disconnect blocking the pic.
I use Pendule to see pics that are blocked

I can't find an extension that is causing the problem. It's only from that one source, so not a big deal. I just reveal the code and copy and past the photo to see it. Annoying, but workable.

Open the Options menu, click on the Content icon at the top. There should be a checkbox that says 'Load images automatically' - to the right of that there should be an Exceptions... button. If that FaceBook image domain is listed as blocked, simply select it in the list and hit the Remove site button at the bottom of that dialog box.
