What's with the request for a picture on Facebook?
I joined Facebook strictly for the purpose of joining a group I was in. I gave minimal info about myself, but was able to join the group. I read stuff on it for a day or two. I can't remember when I made my first post, but today when I tried to log on I was told I'd been shut off. I'm sorry I can't remember the exact language that was used. I clicked a button to request a review. I was sent to a place where they insisted on a cell phone number, so I gave it. I got into Facebook and posted some replies to existing posts. Then when I tried to post a new message (in a group - don't know if that kind of post is different), I got the same shutoff message. This time Review insisted that I give them a picture. They said it would only be used once, for this purpose and would not show on my profile. So I did. I got back on Facebook. The picture is not on my profile.
My question is this. What use to them is this picture? What was going on????? Thanks, AG

2. Probably doing it to
try and match up the terrorists with images they have on file so they can monitor each log on that matches. Terrorists are still using fb so expect to be looked at a little more closely on social media until we get them under control.

3. It's hard to imagine a terrorist using a real picture of themselves. No??

4. A lot of them gave their Soc Sec #s to...
Parler for heaven's sake, I'd expect half of them would. They were stupid enough to take pics and vids of them participating in a freaking coup, sure they'd put their own stupid faces whatever it it. It's a special kind of stupid functioning there.

5. Will they accept a pretty mountain stream, or a nice English castle? Does it have to be a
picture of a person? Could it be a picture of a black and white cow grazing or my pet fish? Just curious cos Ive never joined but have thought on occasion I might want to.

6. Interesting idea. If I create a new persona I might try that. They do ask for a picture of you....
... so I think I'd try it with a "throw away" pesona.

7. Facebook does not like anonymous accounts.
They want a government photo ID to prove who you are.
