Windows 10 email .. Help

When I compose an email the email font will minimize and I use Ctrl+ to get it back to normal.. Is there a way to correct this permanently?
I use Gmail..

1. Try this ....

Click on the gear on the right side on the Gmail inbox page. From the pull down menu click on settings. On the general tab you can set the default text style to whatever size you want.

....changed the font a and so far emails have seemed more stable.they tended to minimize or get larger taking the entire screen when that happened I used ctrl -
