My screen just went all northern lights green. Kinda creepy. My eyes will get used to it I guess. (Original Post) applegrove Mar 2015 OP

I will do that. It wasn't a cosmetic thing. It was to relax me at nightime so I would go to sleep applegrove Mar 2015 #7

Have you re-booted the computer after 10-15 minutes?

In other words...

Are you sure you have a problem or just want to post here?

I just tried to reboot and it did not work. But I think it is my nighttime screen that automatically used to go to a shade of pink at sundown. It is an app. I will play with that for a bit. Don't know why it would turn from pink to green itself. Thanks though.

earlier because the red light is in the night spectrum and is better than white light. I didn't end up going to bed earlier. So yes I will take it off. I think that will work. Thanks.

If you can test the monitor on another computer that would rule out a problem with the monitor.

I highly doubt f.lux is responsible but it is fairly easy to disable that app for an hour by ticking the box in its window.

your monitor is fully plugged into your video card. Loose monitor connections can give bizarre colors on your display
