Hypocrisy thy name is Boris.

After all the hoohah about the BCC head having to resign Boris has been exerting his Goebbels like control over his own staff. And no he didn't stop it because he only just found out about it, he stopped it because someone let the cat out of the bag.

Boris Johnson says a memo instructing his senior staff to back him over the EU referendum has been withdrawn.

The London mayor, who is campaigning to leave the EU, said the email to deputy mayors and senior advisers was "a cock-up, and not something I agree with".

It told them to "either advocate the mayor's position or otherwise not openly contradict it".

The email was sent 24 hours before Mr Johnson accused pro-EU campaigners of trying to gag opponents.

It was sent by his chief of staff, Edward Lister.

it should be pointed out that even he's telling the truth, it doesn't reflect well on his leadership, if the people on his team are making 'cock-ups' without his knowledge. OK, it can happen occasionally to anyone, but in the case of Boris, it does appear that he lets others do his work for him and does not keep an eye on them - even more so than with Cameron.

I think it's terrible but there are those in his fan base who think it makes him quite endearing.

.....is that the "leave" camp seem far more preoccupied with shutting down debate than explaining how leaving the single market might actually benefit anyone. Not good.

Rees Mogg had a go at Carney when the poor man was just trying to explain the situation as he saw it. And all this nonsense about the Queen makes me want to puke.

There is a hint of fanaticism about some of the leave group. Most people don't give the EU that much thought, but for this lot it's been festering a long time. A lot of them are very privileged and just don't like the idea of anyone else telling them what to do.

A massive sense of entitlement is what underpins a lot of this.

And no, Cameron's reform do not address all that many of the problems with the EU.

But to pretend that the EU single market doesn't benefit us all as consumers and producers is just flat out wrong.

And all that. It's like the emperor's new clothes. The Tories seem to think that because he's not instantly hated he's leadership material. That may have worked for a mayoral position where a lot of his success had to do with Livingstone's bloody ego, but not anything else.

He's already doing a half arsed job, Mayor of London, MP, writer for both The Torygraph and The Spectator, and now leading the Leave campaign. None of those jobs are part time.
