On 20 March a total eclipse of the Sun will take place, visible from the North Atlantic Ocean. Observers in the UK and Ireland will see a partial solar eclipse, with up to 97% of the Sun blocked out. This will be the deepest eclipse in the UK since 1999 and until 2026.

I hadn't seen anything about it yet (though I now see some media is covering it, and I suppose it will get more nearer the day).

I 'saw' the total eclipse, from Devon, in 1999 (total cloud cover, so there was nothing to see at the sun as it approached - it just got dark, faster than it ever does normally). I'm south coast, so I'm only going to get 80-something percent.
