I sent this e-mail to my MP on the 9th November

Subject line: Please fight against Brexit; our survival now depends on it

Dear Nicola Blackwood,

The world is now in a more terrifying place than I have ever known it in all my life.

We cannot allow ourselves to be 'Balkanized' under these circumstances. We must stick with the rest of Europe. I think even many Brexit-voters would agree with this now`.

The very survival of Western civilized values is now at stake. Please fight to reverse anything that could make us more vulnerable, or less active in the fight for our values and perhaps our very survival. Do not let us cut ourselves off. That vote in June was under other circumstances.

With all best wishes

LeftishBrit - I'm an American (we live in the BLUE state of Oregon), but we may have an opportunity to relocate to the UK for awhile (our daughter and niece want to do their educational studies in Colchester). If we move (it will be next August), I want to meet up with like minded folks and continue the good fight around the world. I'd love to hear about local (or not so local) organizations that we can get involved with.

It depends on what your main interests are - one of my main ones currently is opposing Brexit, and I could certainly put you in touch with interested parties if you wish.

38 Degrees is a good site for local campaigns: https://home.38degrees.org.uk/

This is a organization that defends the NHS, another of my interests:

We were in the UK during the Brexit vote and was really surreal and unbelievable. We were in London during the massive protest. If we end up over there, we'd need to register with NHS, so yes -- that would be something I'd be very interested in.

I have a lot of interests. I'm into natural resource protection, sustainability, humanitarian issues, getting involved with the massive food waste issue (interested in learning more about what WRAP is doing).
