Conservatives announce that anyone wearing a niquab will not be allowed to give or receive federal

government services. With just over ten days to go till an election they are pandering to Quebec. Three women have already been at least verbally attacked for wearing it in the last week. Way to spread hate Harper.

That's really sad and disturbing. n/t TDale313 Oct 2015 #1
That sounds like a war on women since it applies to them, only. Warpy Oct 2015 #2
I don't like the niqab. But an election is no time to discuss applegrove Oct 2015 #3

I can see discouraging them at places of employment and certainly they're not safe to drive in. ID cards need to be issued without the face covered. However, I can't see any reason at all to object to the simple head covering most Muslim women in my area wear.

They're pandering to fucking bigots and misogynists, not just the ones in Quebec. I hope it blows up in their piggy faces.
