Looking at voting lines in states like Ohio. I wish all states could have mail-in like us!

(31,017 posts)Better than standing on lines. Although I used to enjoy going to the polling place and interacting with everyone there. We never had long lines though...we were usually in and out within 15 / 20 minutes.

I know electors are under no Constitutional provision to vote based on the state popular vote total. But if you can't bring yourself to vote the will of the people, you shouldn't be an elector.

(110,910 posts)especially in Dixie, where they've closed hundreds of them, mostly in Democratic strongholds and majority black areas.
Thanks a lot, Roberts court. There's another decision that needs to be overturned, gutting the Voting Rights Act. Clearly it is still necessary.

I voted early and in-person this time, but partly just to see which side seemed to have a better "ground game." (It was Clinton in my area.)

(107,103 posts)It gives me time to research the down ticket races and measures. I use to go into the booth and say "what is this?" when I ran into many of those.
