SODO arena, or renovate Key Arena?

The city council hearing was just held. Info on the two sides at the links below.

This is a contentious issue, affecting access into and out of the area, how the stadium will be paid for, and whether or not jobs and revenue for the city are affected and if so, how.

Regardless of your stand, we as PCOs should make sure we know this issue, and participate if we as individuals deem it necessary. This is a regional issue and not just one for residents of Seattle.

As we saw with one of the current structures in the south end of the city, it doesn't matter one hot hoot in hell what the people want. In that case, there was a vote -- the people voted AGAINST a new stadium. The the will of the people was ignored and now there is another stadium. It also appears they are going about this backwards. Instead of securing a commitment from NBA or NHL for a team, they are going to build a stadium first and hope someone wants to use it. What a stupid way to waste taxpayers money.
