Temperatures Near 80 By The Weekend, Forecasters Say
SEATTLE, WA A few patches of wet weather this week should clear up after Wednesday, setting the groundwork for a real warm-up heading into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
After a quiet Monday, Tuesday is forecast for a slight chance of rain, with an even higher likelihood in the cards for most Wednesday. Tuesday is forecast for highs in the upper 60s before dropping down to the 50s Wednesday.
Forecasters expect Thursday will kick off a multi-day streak of "abundant sunshine" and warmth building into the weekend.
"Thursday is a bit of a rebound day after Wednesday's cooler conditions," wrote Matthew Cullen, a meteorologist at NWS Seattle. "Friday and Saturday will then see the lowlands reach the mid 70s to perhaps even around 80, with Saturday likely the warmest day."
