CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - One of the defendants in a federal civil lawsuit stemming from the violent white supremacist events in August 2017 is admitting to conspiracy and negligence and is willing to pay the plaintiffs.
The National Socialist Movement filed a motion for
summary judgment[PDF] in Charlottesville's federal court in order to resolve the case. In the court filing, president and director James Hart Stern stated he took over the "largest Neo Nazi organization" on February 15, 2019.

The group, along with Jason Eric Kessler and other organizers of the Unite the Right rally and the torch-lit march on the University of Virginia, was sued by victims of the violence for conspiracy and negligence.
Legal wrangling over evidence discovery is still ongoing between the remaining plaintiffs and defendants.
