Wendy Davis says she hasn't decided whether to run for Congress

Former state Sen. Wendy Davis said Friday she is not ready to announce whether she’s running for the 21st Congressional District, after media reports and social media posts suggested she had decided to run. The seat is currently held by U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, a freshman Republican from Hays County.

“Wendy has no announcement to make,” a spokesman for Davis told the American-Statesman.

The 2014 Democratic nominee for governor told the Austin Chronicle Friday that she would probably make an announcement in about three weeks, citing the need to mull over the effect of the decision on her family and “whether I’m the best person to take this challenge on.”

Businessman and philanthropist Marc Winkelman said Thursday night that Davis was running, as he accepted a philanthropy award at a dinner hosted by the Texas Observer.

I think Texas is an interesting place to watch. Two promising candidates, Wendy and Beto, have made damned good runs at positions that were supposed to be out of reach.
It is important that Democrats put up qualified, exciting candidates and be in a position to offer 100% support for them if we are to turn the state Blue.
It does look like there are sparks of promise........
