I've seen two Obama commercials. I can't remember the last time I've seen a commercial for a democratic presidential candidate. My daughter even asked if it was real; she had never seen one before.

(32,013 posts)has a lot of electoral votes and many working class folks. After seeing Julian Castro speak they could be realizing it would be good to focus on building down here - he potentially could be a strong governor or even presidential candidate down the road. Also Hillary could be talking about a 2016 run and she also has solid support here. I'm glad they are noticing and putting a little money into the state.

Mr. Cruz told the WFAA audience, Monday evening that TX Democrats were not backing Sadler; meaning that the Texas is 100% with the PAC 1%. I would like to see that Cruz is booted back to Washington DC were he belongs. Cruz is an obstructionist to moving forward. The 99% have had enough of that.

(32,013 posts)but Cruz will win this time. I moved to Texas 9 years ago and have not taken a big interest in local politics because I didn't know if we would stay and I thought it was hopeless. But as demographics shift I am now optimistic that things can and are changing in this state.
