I still called Cruz and Cornyn. Here are the numbers: Cruz (202) 224-5922 Cornyn 202-224-2934. Come on Texans, give them a call. (Or anyone else who wants to. You can use my old Houston zip code: 77055.) Here is another number for Cruz where someone answers the phone: 713 718 3057

(872 posts)I can understand calling certain Senators who might be on the fence. But why even bother wasting your time?
You have a better chance of winning Powerball, than you do of seeing either of those change their vote. You have a better chance of winning Powerball TWICE.

(872 posts)In my mind, they do not give a shit what their constituents think. If they care at all, it's what their BASE thinks, and face it, we're nowhere near part of their base.
But hey, even the Cubs win the World Series every hundred years or so, there's always a chance.

(13,865 posts)I never answer if a name doesnt come up on Caller ID, but when I heard the woman asking if I would attend a function for Alan Wilson (son of Joe you lie! Wilson running for re-election as SC Att Gen) I picked up and, without hesitation, lied:
I have always been a Republican, but as long as Trump is the head of the party I will vote for Democrats except for any Republicans who publicly denounce Trump.
After a hesitation, she asked for a reason to put in her call log. I told her I had a Mother who had tried her best to teach me how to behave as an grown man, and I have a wife, a sister, two daughters and two granddaughters and I am voting for all of them.

(767 posts)The evil stench of these toadies makes this state a very low place for democracy. My grandfather entered and exited this state and took his money and family east to S.F. I do not know what type of people would vote for these two CREEPS. I am glad the hispanic population is growing to vote BLUE......CHEERS
