(102,225 posts)She has been duly black-balled throughout the veterinary profession--even her veterinary alma mater (Dean of CSU Vet school) denounced her, as did the AVMA. The nail in her professional coffin during the veterinary board disciplinary hearings was an academic professor of ethics that testified against her.
She may have only lost her license for a year, but there is no way that she's going to find the kind of veterinary work she once readily could. Why would anyone hire her, when her clients are likely to boycott THEM as a result. The "ALLEY CAT ALLIES" and several other cat protection groups followed her case, provided testimony against her legally, and rightfully hounded her during this entire process. That she got what she got punitively is largely due to THEIR relentlessness.
I've followed this case closely because it upset me greatly. Kristen Lindsey may retain her DVM, but no way to put that genie in the bottle. No, she is not coming through this unscathed and she surely should NOT.
