Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and millions seized as part of fraud probe at school for veterans

Federal authorities seized a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and other assets from the operator of a career center that left hundreds of veterans in a lurch when it suddenly closed, according to court documents.

The move comes as authorities investigate whether officials at the Garland-based Retail Ready Career Center schemed to commit fraud through the military's GI Bill, which helps pay for college and career training for veterans.

Other items reportedly seized according to a court filing on Monday included more luxury cars, about $4.5 million from an account in the school's name as well as bank accounts and the $2 million Addison home of the center's owner, Jonathan Davis.

Davis' attorney, Derek Staub, said he couldn't elaborate on the details of the investigation but noted that no criminal charges have been filed.

I'm sure these reprobates are Republicans, Texas Republicans, and therefore no charges would ever be filed. However, they would get a stern talking to, and would probably have a six month 'time-out' before they'd be allowed to start up any other Veterans career centers. You have to be tough with these people!
