(2,289 posts)We used to have some property on Lake Travis and held big July 4th parties with BBQ and fireworks. The house on the property was below the spillway level, so it had flooded before and thus was more of a ruin than a house. It did have a toilet with a small septic system that worked (somewhat)
Anyway, one year a guest ran out warning everyone that there was a coral snake in the toilet. Unfortunately my mom didn't hear the warning. All she heard was that the bathroom had a problem, so she went in and checked everything, finally flushing the toilet. That was when she saw the snake getting sent to septic tank. She then ran out yelling about the snake she flushed.
It was tons of fun back then.
(I was a kid back then and I tried to cause trouble however possible. The one thing my parents loved to tell people ever since, was how I would go around telling the guests that the BBQ Cabrito was actually a BBQ dog. The best part was that some of them believed me! It didn't help that the cabrito was cooked whole, so it did look like a dog.)
