Houston woman wrote to thank Obama for her life; He wrote her back
I love President Obama and I am proud that he is our POTUS http://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/politics/article/Houston-woman-wrote-to-thank-Obama-for-her-life-10796231.php?t=22fb1769ef438d9cbb
Anne Bunting liked to tell friends that President Barack Obama saved her life.
Last month, the Houston native decided to pen a letter telling him so, explaining how his signature health care law had allowed her to get a life-saving heart transplant in 2014. "I tell everyone that you saved my life and I truly believe that," she wrote. That, she thought, would be that. Then last Friday she got a reply: "Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to share your moving story with me. It's clear you have faced tremendous challenges over the last few years, and I am glad to hear the Affordable Care Act helped you." It was signed with the president's characteristic signature, with a giant B and a giant O.

4. This comment says it all:
HoustonNative Rank 2
Two lessons: 1) the ACA has on occasion saved lives, and 2) the president is a class act. |

5. Indeed! Rather than "on occasion", I would say "saved many lives".
I've read many stories people have posted...definitely can say the ACA has saved or greatly lessened suffering numerous times.

8. Mr. Obama is a man of all class. . .and the new Assfaced Shitgibbon puts the ass in class!
I disagreed many times with him on many policies and decisions, but I must admit, he is a class act. I respected the office because of him, and I respect the man personally, albeit I disagreed with him vociferously on many issues.
Like I said to the principal I had until I was a sophomore in high school. "I disagreed with you on everything you did. I thought you were do thing that hurt the students rather than helped, but you were always respectful and a class act towards me when I either got in trouble or challenged you." Then I shook his hand on told him I would always respect him as a man because our disagreements were "professional, rather than personal." Then the next principal was a racist, sexist, homophobic anti-Semite which fit the community better and everything went back to normal with me. . .where the bullies would come out and do their anti-Jewish shit. Difference was I wasn't the quiet, meek, weak student anymore. I was, in 1994, about 5'10" and 220 lbs of solid muscle that learned to fight and would take the fight to people. So you can guess how I was treated. Similar to now. . .we have all class as president, and all ass as incoming. |
