Baylor University in Waco issues ‘all clear’ after fatal shooting

WACO -- Baylor University have issued an “all clear” for normal operations to resume after a fatal shooting near campus Thursday afternoon.

Officials had asked people in the area to remain indoors until the “all clear” announcement was issued.

According to Waco police, several people were gambling at a vacant lot on Ninth Street and Garrett Avenue when a man approached the group and started shooting. One man was fatally injured, police said.

Police are still looking for the suspect, but they said the shooting does not involve anyone outside the crime scene and Baylor students, faculty and staff are not in immediate danger.
