Cypress teen Nancy Mulkey, who is 6'9", to be featured on TLC's 'My Giant Life'
Need proof that everything is bigger in Texas? Take a look at Houston's 17-year-old Nancy Mulkey.
Measuring in at 6'9", the Cypress teen is the subject of TLC's upcoming show "My Giant Life." The program, which premieres Tuesday, July 14, followed the Cypress Woods High School senior for three weeks to show the ups and downs of what life is like for a person of her height.
Mulky spoke with the Houston Chronicle while she was on the road touring with – what else? – her traveling basketball team, where she plays center for the junior Olympics team USA Basketball.
Houston Chronicle: What do you love about being tall?
Nancy Mulkey: It's opened so many doors for me. I've traveled so many places around the world (through basketball): Cancun, Prague, Paris. It's a blessing. If I didn't have the height I have now, I don't think I would have had the opportunities I've had now.
