"Dallas" not renewed by TNT.

This really sucks.

First, Ebola. Then, citywide power outages. Now this: Dallas has been canceled. Again.

TNT confirms that the network has said adios to the Warner Bros.-produced rebooted version of the long-running CBS series, which reappeared on TNT June 29, 2012. Looks like Christoper wasn’t the only Ewing to say adios in that third season finale.

In a statement issued late Friday the network said, “TNT has decided not to renew Dallas. We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show’s creative forces, [executive producers] Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. We especially want to thank the people of Dallas for their warm and generous hospitality during the production of the series.”

City officials, of course, are “extremely disappointed” by today’s news, in the words of Janis Burklund, head of the Dallas Film Commission. “The city enjoyed having them, and they enjoyed being here. And the show is still being seen on Netflix and in foreign countries. The producers and actors have been extremely gracious to work with.”

The ratings were good but the target age group was 40 and up which is not the network target. Stupid, senseless decision in my opinion.

do we really have to dig up tired and trite old shows? Is there no imagination in Hollyweird? The reality TV, homogenized garbage is only outdone in pathetic revisions of Aaron Spelling offal.

Now zombie shows are the most interesting on TV. No wonder we have to pay HBO for quality....

Apologies for criticizing the show you enjoy....

Too much absurdity. Everyone had blackmail material on everyone else. How convenient. You need a diagram to keep track of who was on who's side.

But the acting was quite, quite good. And I appreciate that they filmed on location. When the original series moved production back to California, it didn't work.
