WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On a day when President Barack Obama planned to focus on energy, much of his energy was spent on the situation in the Middle East.
“All of us are heartbroken by what happened,” said the president.
The Washington State soldier accused of killing women and children creates more unrest. KVUE anchor Terri Gruca asked the president if the killings affect America's exit strategy.
“My call for us is to get out of Afghanistan and transition to Afghan lead. We want to do that responsibly and in such a way so that not everything we've done over the last decade collapses, but it is time for us to go,” Obama said.
