"My name is Tom and I just had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week — possibly the worst yet in my re-election campaign.

Monday

An organization affiliated with the campaign of my opponent, Democrat Tom Wolf, released a video making it appear my high-ranking aides are paranoid and harassment-prone.

The video was shot by a Wolf campaign worker taping a public appearance I made in Pittsburgh. He was confronted by my special assistant, Dennis Roddy, who asked him for ID, asked him whether he was carrying a weapon and then appeared unconvinced even after the guy calmly reassured him that a video camera isn't a weapon.

During the exchange, I can be seen in the background chatting amiably with three police officers. I was smiling, probably because I didn't realize the potential peril I was in surrounded by a trio of armed cops. "

The soon-to-be-unemployed Roddy was the Post-Gazette reporter who covered Corbett before he became Governor. Roddy always seemed to have access to leaks from the Attorney General's office that other reporters could not get. After the election, Roddy was given a cushy job inside the Corbett administration. In 2013, Roddy was paid $103,000 by the State, plus full benefits.

Roddy tried to post on DU's Pennsylvania section to defend Corbett while working for the State, but he was then banned by DU.

It is great to see the Trib newspaper giving Corbett hell, after the paper's billionaire ultra-right-wing owner died.

Pretty disturbing old links about the P-G and its responses to the soon-to-be EX-Gov!

Roddy must have not realized that he could have had a section roped off to "allow" protesters a "special spot" where they would not be bothered - you know, like "W" used to do when he was out trolling for more money or paying back political favors for the lies that put him in office.
