Lehigh Valley Express-Times endorses Republican who co-sponsored forced ultrasound bill
For the 40th State Senate District (parts of Monroe & Northampton counties), the Express-Times has endorsed Republican Mario Scavello. Scavello co-sponsored House Bill 1077 which mandated fetal ultrasound exams as a precondition to an abortion. The Express-Times endorsement doesn't even mention the forced ultrasound bill. Scavello also supported the voter ID bill, and opposes abortion in all cases including rape, incest and in cases where the women's health is in danger.
What liberal media? The Express-Times also endorsed Republican Charlie Dent in 2012.
