Voter ID Law Likely to be in effect for 2012 Elections - The Disenfrancishment continues

As part of a nationwide effort in Republican-controlled states, a voter ID law is now expected to pass and be in effect for the 2012 elections.

Already, an ID is required for first time voters. However, the new law will require it for all voters for all elections. Studies show minorities, low income persons and older persons are least likely to have a government issued photo ID.
