Arrest made in Queens fake cabbie attack on mother, kids

ELMHURST (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest after a man posing as a cab driver was caught on camera assaulting a woman and her children after allegedly trying to force her to perform a sex act inside the car.

Authorities say 48-year-old Pedro Vargas, of Yonkers, pretended to be a livery driver when he picked up the 26-year-old victim and her children -- ages 1, 3, and 5 -- on 207th Street in Manhattan just before 3 a.m. on August 24.
