Cuomo Signs Bill Allowing City to Lower Speed Limit to 25 MPH

Governor Andrew Cuomo is giving a boost to Mayor Bill de Blasio's Vision Zero traffic plan by allowing the city to lower its speed limit.

Cuomo signed a bill today that allows city districts to lower the default speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 25.

That applies to streets where the speed limit isn't otherwise posted.
