State GOP Chairman Ed Cox is accused of voter fraud; Dems demand an investigation

ALBANY - State GOP Chairman Ed Cox and his family live in Manhattan but vote on Long Island — and Democrats want the Board of Elections to investigate.

Cox and his wife, the former Patricia Nixon, live in an Upper East Side co-op and have been Manhattan residents for decades. But Cox and his wife are registered to vote at a Suffolk County address that is part of an estate owned by his brother, Howard Cox, records show.

A complaint filed by Assemblyman Keith Wright, Gov. Cuomo's hand-picked co-chairman of the state Democratic party, said Ed Cox's name does not appear on any records for the Suffolk County address or any other properties on the estate.
