Huge fundraising haul for Malinowski, who has almost $2.7 million banked
Rep. Tom Malinowski (D-Ringoes) raised $938,636 in the first three months of the year and has $2,671,618 cash-on-hand as he seeks re-election to a second term in New Jerseys 7th district.
Malinowski has raised $3,327,860 since taking office fifteen months ago, and more impressive considering his refusal to accept corporate PAC money and the likely impact that the coronavirus pandemic had on political fundraising during most of march.
The freshman congressmans warchest is more than double what his likely Republican opponent, Senate Minority Leader Thomas Kean, Jr. (R-Westfield) has in the bank.
Kean reported $1,138,477 in his campaign account after raising $508,918 during the first quarter and $1,749,905 since entering the race against Malinowski last April.
