It's focussed on Minneapolis, but has a lot of useful state-wide information and links.
Here's one of many (My Ballot)

As for statewide offices, any reason not to vote for the DFL-endorsed candidate? Any close races besides State Auditor Rebecca Otto v. Matt Entenza?
I see there's 3 Democrats running for Secretary of State:
Steve Simon (DFL-endorsed), Dick Franson, and Gregg A. Iverson
What about voting in the Republican primary instead -- I'm not comfortable doing the usual spoiler tactic of voting for the most extreme whack-a-doodle in hopes that (s)he will be easy to defeat in the general election (too many extreme whack-a-doodles win, think Michelle Bachmann), so that's probably not an option for me.

(115,656 posts)He wants to use the auditor position just to get to something better. His campaign has been dishonest and slimy.

(115,656 posts)I wonder where all the money for that is coming from?
ISUGRADIA
(2,571 posts)It's almost all from Entenza himself. He's spent close to $700,000 of his own money on this race since July.

(31,893 posts)I wonder about the money, too. Who's expecting their back to get scratched if Entenza gets in? Someone trying THAT hard to get elected for state Auditor, fer crissakes - it makes me damn suspicious.
I'm heading out to my polling place tomorrow to vote for Rebecca Otto, and do my part to make sure all that Entenza campaign money is wasted.

(15 posts)but the DFL endorsee - Steve Simon - is a no brainer. At least he has been elected before.
The other two: Iverson and Franson appear to be perpetual candidates. Both tried for Minneapolis mayor.. Well, there were 35 of them, or so.
There are predictions that turn out will be around 15% and with Entneza spending so much money I conclude that it is important to cast a vote for Otto.

(2,571 posts)Is that when he ran for S of State against Ritchie and lost is he turned around and endorsed Mary Kiffmeyer.

(5,927 posts)...says he's one of the most honest and ethical people she's ever met.
She's just one person, but her endorsement, when added to the DFL endorsement, gave me every reason to vote for Simon when I sent in my absentee ballot.
By the way, that's my assessment of Otto as well: honest, ethical, and competent. The mailers I've been receiving from Entenza have given me the strong impression that he's none of those things.
