3. There's a new law in KS making voter registration drives illegal?

For real?

7. So strictly speaking they did not outlaw registration drives, but out of an abundance of caution

given this:

"Under the law, false representation of an election official is a felony crime with a punishment of up to 17 months in prison and a $100,000 fine."

these outfits are suspending their drives until a judge rules on the law.

That sucks, hopefully the court comes down on the correct side of the issue.

8. Yes, you are correct

The article in the Hays Daily News painted a darker picture of the issue, but was unable to find an
online copy of it to include. reQublican owned paper doesn't post much online that shows reQublicans
in a poor light although some stuff gets into the print edition.

4. In Kansas I hope all groups that partake in voter registration . . ..

previously are subject to the same laws.

Although this type of un-democracy FU law will backfire on the republicans.

5. Almost every year I've run across The League of Women Voters

have a booth in a mall asking passersby if their registered to vote and if not would they like to be.
I'm glad KS reQublicans are finally taking action against these unamerican activities of helping other people.
