MidAmerican Energy Studying Area Near Wilton for Nuclear Power Plant

WILTON, Iowa - A site three miles east of Wilton is one of two in Iowa that MidAmerican Energy is examining carefully as part of its nuclear power plant feasibility study.

MidAmerican was scheduled to meet Tuesday with landowners in the area of rural Muscatine County to explain the assessment process, according to Tina Pothoff, a spokeswoman for the Des Moines-based utility.
