This article ranks states in order of their flatness, and Iowa doesn't even make the top ten: http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2014/03/science-several-us-states-led-by-florida-are-flatter-than-a-pancake/284348/ .
If you'd like some suggestions about where to enjoy Iowa's non-flatness, have a look at this: http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/iowa/7-hiking-spots-ia/.

Wanna see flat? I took my kids to Disney World long ago and was blown away by how flat Florida was.
Probably a good thing - bumps were alligators.

(18,470 posts)Especially eastern Wyoming. Back in 1995 we took a drive through eastern Wyoming and spent a considerable amount of time driving through the Thunder Basin National Grassland on state highway 59 as we went from I-90 down to I-25. Not only was it flat but there was pretty much nothing out there. Even once we got back on the interstate it was fairly flat though we could see the Rocky Mountains in the distance.
There are times I'd like to rent a convertible and just go on one big ass long road trip out there again. There are days when I would love to live out in the middle of the empty parts of Wyoming.
