Alexi Giannoulias

I think he will be President someday. It may be after I am gone, but I believe in him.

Alexi was the youngest state treasurer at thirty. He made sure, as secretary of state and state librarian of Illinois, that Illinoisans had the right to read. Under the new law promoted by Alexi, any library in Illinois the censors books loses its state grants.

Now, Alexi is behind a bill that prevents license plate data from being used to track women who are seeking abortions.

People in this state are speculating that Pritzker will be President someday. I love our Governor Pritzker, but I love him where he is. His knowledge of finance is dragging our state out of its indebtedness and financial chaos. Also, I am not sure Pritzker has the stamina to do too many more campaigns.

Alexi was an Obama protege. They played basketball together. Obama left him here when he went to Washington. That was the right move. Alexi was not ready for Washington. Now he is building a fine record.

I am imagining a dream ticket: Giannoulias/Buttigieg. Don't overlook the Midwest. We have some of the best.

They are moving away from Big Machine politics and moving towards serving the regular folks.

Good policies make good politics.

JB could run for a third term with only modest campaigning.
He crushed Bailey so he can still draw voters.
If he can continue on as governor, he might not want to bother with a run for POTUS.

He is overweight. Running for President is hard work. I am not sure he is up to it physically. I don't know how well you know him, but have you ever been around him when he is tired? Fuggetaboutit!

I think he likes being governor, and as we have no term limit, he should continue to do what he's obviously good at.
There are rising stars to promote for future potus runs.

He is a billionaire, and he finances his campaigns out of his own pocket. I love being an activist, but everyone wants my money. I am far from wealthy.

Even if one donates, we can't donate to everyone. Have to be awfully wealthy for that, unless it's 500 campaigns getting a buck.
