Quarantine
What do you folks think about the mandatory 2 week quarantine for trans-Pacific visitors?
My view is that it should be extended for as long as it takes to have accurate testing. The test results are not immediate, or that accurate. I know many tourism related businesses are suffering, including mine, but the risk of infection will only remain low as long as visitors are required to self-quarantine. We can really appreciate the dilemma Ige must face. Aloha

2. Governorʻs call
I think he is leaning in that direction, given the explosion of cases on the mainland. Opening up for business comes with a huge cost.

3. Strikes me as a very good idea.
Hawaii has had the fewest number of cases and the fewest deaths per million of any state. It helps a lot being an island state.

4. Our greatest feature
We are literally at least 2500 miles from anywhere. We do not control the air traffic, but the quarantine policy has kept the casual vacationer from visiting. By the way, the quarantine is ENFORCED. People have been arrested, and the penalty is up to one year jail time, and up to $5000 fine, depending on the island. No fooling around!
