(6,853 posts)I knew my ballot was counted when I stopped getting text messages, but this is reassuring

(10,053 posts)Mine was too, but not for two of my kids' - they just checked the site tonight to find that they weren't. First thing Monday morning they are going to see what the heck is going on!

(14,565 posts)Even though my ballot was received on October 15. That's why I am a bit concerned

(14,565 posts)I am in Miami-Dade, not Broward. My ballot indicates received but it doesn't say anything about being counted. The primary ballot says it was "tabulated"
I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. Are absentee ballots received weeks ago supposed to have been tabulated already? I was extremely careful when filling it out.
This is what my info says:
Ballot 1 sent:
Tuesday, October 9, 2018
Ballot 1 received by office:
Monday, October 15, 2018
Your ballot #1 was received by the office.

(10,053 posts)This is what we want to see! "Your ballot #1 was received by the office."
With my oldest son, he had the same message you had - that it was sent and most importantly that it was received. With my middle son and my daughter - the message was only that the ballot was sent out, not that the office received it. Good news, they checked again this morning (before marching down to the offices) and both of them had the message we wanted that it was received by the office and their votes will be counted. Whew!

(14,565 posts)I contacted the office last night by email and they ignored me. Earlier today I called and they had to switch me around three times in 15 minutes before someone was able to provide the same information you gave.
I have to say that experience with the email and phone call did not inspire a lot of confidence in the process.
