Last minute bit of advise for central florida voters. DON'T vote yes on retention of Alan Lawson. He is the opposite of the kind of justice that DU would support.

(95 posts)What are you talking about?Al Lawson is the democrat.
He is running against Virginia Fuller who is an Republican.
We should vote for a republican?
He is running in the 5th district. Florida's 5th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Florida. It extends along Florida's northern boundary from Jacksonville to Tallahassee. The district includes all of Baker, Gadsden, Hamilton, Madison counties and portions of Columbia, Duval, Jefferson, and Leon counties.
Why do people in Central Florida care?

(31,261 posts)The Supreme Court Alan Lawson is a rightwing republican who was appointed by Rick Scott.
As a rule, if you have a Dem opposed by a republican, ALWAYS vote for the Dem, even a conservative Dem is better than a republican.

(31,261 posts)If he is on your ballot. Also vote NO on Fifth District Court Judge Eric Eisnaugle. He too is a Scott appointee and lackey. Alan Lawson is statewide, vote NO on him. There may be another Circuit Judge on your ballot, look up who appointed that Judge, that is in public records.
